First Choice Health (the City of Tacoma Employee Assistance Program) has stress/anxiety resources. The website is www.firstchoiceEAP.com and our username is cityoftacoma. There is a search box at the top of the homepage where you can type “anxiety” or “stress” and the resources available will populate..
Mental Health America (MHA) offers a remarkable selection of resources that can help you effectively manage your stress and anxiety. In fact, MHA hosted a webinar last week titled Wellness Routines for Uncertain Times. Watch the recording and don’t forget to submit a verification form in order to earn 25 points towards your wellness incentive. You can learn more about past and upcoming MHA webinars here.
The CDC has also put together some valuable information for people. https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prepare/managing-stress-anxiety.html
I would also recommend that employees take advantage of the meditation videos offered via the free exercise options that I mentioned in the previous post. Mindfulness is key in helping us to relax and better cope during stressful times. There are also free mindfulness apps available for both android and iPhone phones.
Lastly, I wrote a HealthVine last year that had some information about stress management and mindfulness apps that you might find helpful. https://wellness.cityoftacoma.org/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/April-May-2019-HealthVine-Final.pdf
