How Do I Participate?
If you are a new user, you need to go to join.virginpulse.com/cityoftacoma.
Then enter in the following information:
- First name
- Last name
- City of Tacoma Employee ID number (NO leading zeros)
- State of Residence
All registered users should visit member.virginpulse.com to sign in via the username and password that they created. Important: Federally mandated notice regarding your Wellness Program (General Population/Local 26 and Local 6).
The 2023 Incentive Period is underway! The incentive period runs October 1, 2021 through September 30, 2022. City Employees that want to receive a Wellness Incentive in 2023 will need to meet the following requirements.
$20 per month credit ($240 annual savings) toward your premium contribution for medical insurance coverage under the Regence or Kaiser Permanente Regular Plans.
$40 per month credit ($480 annual savings) toward your premium contribution for coverage under the Regence High Deductible/HSA Health.
Employees who select a High Deductible/HSA Health plan option will additionally receive contributions from the City on a monthly basis into a Health Savings Account (HSA). Employees participating in wellness will receive a higher contribution.Contributions to HSA Accounts.

If an employee has a spouse/domestic partner or adult child under the age of 26 who works for the City, and each participate in the Wellness Program, each will receive the Wellness Incentive.
